Feeler Gauge
₹249
- A feeler gauge is made up of a series of steel plates or blades which have a progression of very precisely calibrated thicknesses often joined at one end with a pin or rivet and which fold back like a fan into a handle.
- Each blade is marked with its thickness.
- A feeler gauge is used to measure or set very small gaps, normally under 1 mm.
- When the blades are folded back into the handle, the thin, delicate blade is protected.
- The thickest possible blade that can be inserted into a gap or crack shows its width.
A feeler gauge is a must-have tool for checking valve tolerances, point gaps and other critical measurements. Get quick and accurate measurements from 31 different steel blades etched with SAE and metric sizes. The compact steel frame fits into any tool bag and most pockets.

Note: normally the blades are not hardened. So when you want to measure a gap, be very careful you do not bend or deform the delicate blades. This will render that blade mostly useless and then you often will have to replace the entire tool, as the plates here are not individually replaceable. One more small tip: sometimes the plates can stick together, so be careful to check that you use only one plate at a time.
steel gauges that allow precision filing of nut slot depths.
Simply stack the appropriate gauges on the fingerboard, against the front edge of the string nut, and file the nut slot down to the top of the stack.
These gauges are also useful for checking string-to-fret clearances and fret slot width, for hardware installation work, and for setting up shop tools.
he Feeler Gauges are included in the which has all the basic tools you’ll need for shaping, string-spacing, slotting and fitting string nuts like a pro.
